Acrux begins a push for implementing Firefox HTML rules

25 May 2008

Acrux Software begins the implementation of Firefox ver 2 rules for "fixing up" malformed HTML in its Acrux Advanced Html Parser product. At the end of the implementation the Advanced Html Parser will support both the Firefox rules and the current custom Acrux rules for fixing up not well formed HTML. While the current Acrux rules which are still 60% based on Firefox provide more tolerant solution, the new more strict pure Firefox rules will guarantee results compatible with the XHTML accessible via the Firebug addin.

During the push and to do a test verification of the new features Acrux aims to parse 100 Gb of random malformed real world HTML comming from the internet.
