Acrux.Html.chm shows an error "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Symptoms

When you open the Acrux.Html.chm file downloaded either from the trial or the full version you see an error message "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" rather than the HTML based help file.

Cause

Microsoft security update 896358 and Windows Server 2003 SP1 include changes to the InfoTech protocol that block the ability to view remote content. These changes were introduced to reduce security vulnerabilities in HTML Help.

The issue is also listed under the Microsoft knowledge base as kb902225 - You cannot open HTML Help files from Internet Explorer after you install security update 896358 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1

Resolution

There are two resolutions listed in the microsoft knowledge base article. Acrux Software recommends unblocking the file by right clicking and pressing the "Unblock" button.
